My Story
My experience allows me to assist individuals with identifying challenging areas in their lives and develop strategies and methodologies to adequately and timely address maladaptive behaviors and fears that are barriers to their mental health status and healthy growth and development.
The hardest step is making the call and asking for help. Some may see that as a weakness, but I see it as a strength. In our everyday lives we are asked to sacrifice and to help others, but who is helping you during your time of sadness, fear, anxiety or despair? I would like to be that light for you by offering non-judgmental, client centered, and solution focused therapy, fostering a safe and healthy environment that encourages you to be your own catalyst to change, self empowerment, increased self worth, and attainment of your goals. My approach is simple, meeting my clients where they are . This affords us the opportunity to build a genuine therapeutic alliance. Such an alliance significantly reduces an individual's stress as they recognize they have increased their healthy support system.
I utilize an integrative approach that combines different therapeutic approaches to best fit each client’s needs and goals. My approach is influenced but not limited to CBT, DBT, Psychodynamic, Psycho therapy, Solution Focused, Strength Based, Interpersonal Therapy, Mindfulness and Strength Based therapy. I also enjoy integrating a creative arts therapy approach and games because it allows my clients to express their own unique thoughts, feelings, and emotions. I believe that everyone has a hard time sometimes and I understand that engaging in effective treatment can help you get through it.
