My Story

I bring over 5 years of dedicated expertise to my counseling practice. I specialize in supporting individuals facing various challenges, including depression, anxiety, grief, self esteem issues, family conflict and navigating life transitions. My approach to therapy is deeply rooted in evidence-based methodologies, particularly, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution Focused frameworks. I strive to empower clients to explore their emotions, develop coping strategies and foster resilience. In my experience working with clients, most clients prioritize feelings of connectedness with their clinician. For that reason, in our therapy sessions I will do weekly check in’s to not only access for any changes in behavior/progress, but also to build upon the foundation of our therapeutic relationship.

I believe in the analogy, “The longer you hold on to the glass of water the heavier the glass becomes, until you can no longer hold on.” My goal in therapy is to help ease the weighted stress of everyday life challenges. I seek to work with individuals to provide them with the necessary tools/skills to overcome challenges in their lives. I advocate for clients to have full autonomy in sessions, allowing them to be in the front seat to their conscious decision making. I provide clients with a safe space to freely express their thoughts/feelings free of judgement. Healing is a journey, where I as the clinician guide clients through that journey. Change can be scary! But, understanding that change is necessary for personal growth and well-being.  I hope to embark on that healing journey with you!

My integrative and systemic style of therapy is tailored to the unique needs of those I work with while considering the individual, relational, and cultural components of one’s being.
