My Story
I work with clients to develop a deeper understanding of their context and developing self awareness. As humans, we are born with a variety of emotions and are given no skills to regulate them; I will challenge the people I work with to further analyze the purpose of feelings and the function of their behaviors as they simultaneously respond to them. Within the therapeutic relationship, I will continuously offer a safe and non-judgemental space. As a therapist, I know that I will not be given trust- I will have to earn it. I intend to provide a collaborative environment where the people I work with will be given choice and options to develop a sense of their own autonomy within the therapeutic relationship. I value honesty, trust, repair, and humor, and prioritize aligning my actions with my values within my work with others. I use solution-focused, client-centered approach with all modalities. In other words, the focus is on how dynamics within a client’s relationship with themselves, family, partner, workplace, etc., manifests in their life and how the various identities and intersections play a role. It always begins with the relationship one has with themself. In order to understand the surrounding systems, one must comprehend how those systems show up within themselves as well. I am a strong believer that your healing will always begin, progress, and conclude with you.

I am mindful of the communities I work with and aim to decrease barriers marginalized communities and POC are up against. Every individual I work with is different, being their own system within systems that have caused/ continue to perpetuate trans-generational/ generational, persistent trauma. I am a healing space for marginalized individuals and groups and apply evidence based approaches to all. I utilize my skills by applying Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness practices, and Exposure Therapy. I support individuals (13+) with ptsd, c-ptsd, ocd, adhd, anxiety, depression, interpersonal and relational conflict, self-esteem, identity, eating disorders, and life transitions.

My integrative and systemic style of therapy is tailored to the unique needs of those I work with while considering the individual, relational, and cultural components of one’s being. I am culturally sensitive with a deep appreciation in working with people of diverse backgrounds.
